Financial governance comprises the framework of oversight, controls and decision making that ensures public money is managed responsibly, transparently and in line with legal and regulatory requirements. It sets clear accountability to ensure resources are used effectively to support our educational objectives.
Funding Agreements
The Master Funding Agreement: this is the contract that forms the overarching legal and operational relationship between the Trust and the Secretary of State. It defines the Trust's legal obligations, governance and financial accountability.
The Supplemental Funding Agreements: these are the legal contracts between the Department for Education and the Trust which sets out the specific funding and operational terms for each individual academy school within the Trust. It includes details about the school's name, location, age range, admissions and pupil numbers.

Finance Policy and Procedures
Finance Policy and Procedures: the Trust’s financial policies and procedures are published to set out how public funds are managed and to provide assurance of strong financial governance. Within this document is the financial scheme of delegation which sets out how financial decision making authority is delegated across the Trust, including who can approve spending and within what limits; this ensures clear accountability and strong financial control.
